Stubai light in the mountains

The new photo book “Stubai light in the mountains” has pictures inside of the same named multi vision show “Stubai light in the mountains”.
Those pictures are bringing us closer to places, which we may already know, but in the same time those photos are taken in such a beautiful light, when you see them – an impression comes up – you never seen those places before.
The show and also the book are consisting of a flood of eye catchers, which are mainly landscapes like Stubaian High Trail, Seven Summits and the Stubai valley itself and also the Stubai valley villages are pictured.
We from the Sulzenau hut are delighted, that the hut has a nice prestige and many real genial photos are taken at places, which can be reached from the hut. Yeah Stubai is written on the book, but it is also an advertiser for the Sulzenau hut in an optical very pleasing way.
The Stubian Luis Töchterle was responsible for texting poetical lines below of the pictures of Guus & Martina Reinartz – and our well known Rebecca Schöpf (former hut manager) did translate the same lines in to an equal beautiful poetical English.
This book is of course a nice present for all Stubai fans. It’s orderable via internet at Martina and Guus, also in the Stubaian Tourism Organization is the book available and self-evidently the book is also available the shows of the both Reinartz.

Who has the possibility to visit a show “Stubai light in the mountains” from Guus & Martina, shouldn’t miss the opportunity, because you will be rewarded with an astonishing show – impressive as equal relaxing photos are inviting to “Stubai-dream”. Guus is lecturing with fine humour the show and explains to the audience the Stubai valley comprehensible, meanwhile his spectators can enjoy the show with brilliant background music.

The valley and it’s mountains

The Stubai valley, ist the biggest side valley of Wipptal (Wipp valley) and is located south-west of Innsbruck. In the valley end area is framed on both sides with steep-sided Dolostone montains (Kalkkögel and Serleskamm). Starting in the middle of the valley, the summits are increasing to the origin in the Alpine ridge to 3507 m (Zuckerhütl). Futher known and in circles of mountaineers – climbers favored Summits ot Stubaian Alps are Habicht (3277 m), the Wilder Freiger (3418 m), the Schrankogel (3496 m) and the Ruderhofspitze (3473 m). The straight valley allows nearly from every spot, to view to origin of the valley, which is covered by glacial ice and snow. The conjunction of the symetric ground slopes, results into a harmonic landscape, which is refered in literature very often.  Main river of the valley is the Ruetz, it flows below the Brenner street at the Stefans Bridge at 680 m sea level in Sill. The biggest side valleys are the Schlicker -, the Pinnis – and the Oberbergtal valley. In the drainage area are nearly twenty bigger and Numeros smaler glaciers, whereby the Ruetz is showing a very intense glacial river characteristic, with day time and season strongly changing discharge.
