After the ‘singing summit cross’ became victim to a lightning strike in late summer 2011, the Aperer Freiger now has a new cross standing proudly on its peak. We have to thank Hansjörg Egger, the company Heli Tirol and of course all of the people who paid for this project. The new construction is streamlined compared to its predecessor but very striking…only thing is, the mountaineers now need to sing for themselves…
